The VSU Campus Alert system utilizing the Connect-Ed service allows campus administrators to quickly communicate with students, faculty, and staff in the event of an urgent situation on campus such as class cancellations, campus closings, severe weather, or security incidents. For more information, look to the links on the left side of this page or reference our General Information document with frequently asked questions and answers. The privacy and priority of this information will be preserved and will not be shared with third parties for commercial purposes or other purposes than this notification system. Data collection occurs weekly and testing is performed periodically throughout the year.

Students

You will need to know your VSU ID number and Banner password, then make the following selections:
1.  Personal Information
2.  Create or Update your Campus Alert phone number

Faculty and Staff

You will need to have registered for HR Self-Service and know your and Self-Service username and password, then make the following selections:
1.  Personal Information
2.  Phone Numbers
3.  Update your Cellular, Business (desk), Main (department), and Home numbers
